Sukhoi 47 Su-47 Berkut, deprived from the name of the golden Russian eagle, is a trailed experimental Russian air support jet, of twin engines, proposed by JSC Sukhoi and developed by their side, that was a manifestant prototype for several technological features deployed in the fifth generation Russian fighter PAK FA (also called Su-57) and Sukhoi Su-35, advanced Russian 4th generation aircraft. The jet was regarded distinctive by its forward-swept wings, a wing configuration with forward sweep quarter chord, attributing some air advantages regarding maneuverability, which is defined as the characteristic of moving freely in air.

The Berkut, as it formally nick named, was originally known as Sukhoi Su-37, however a redesignation upon testing swept it to Su-47, was projected at the level of Soviet Union in early 1980th, despite, low budgets and the collapse of the union of communist republics delayed the plan to nineteenth, with the formation of Russian federation, until the only Su-47 was finally built for testing in 2002, with the intention of conducting experiments on, for the sake of the future aircrafts and fighters.

Sukhoi Su-47 has lofty agility at the level of subsonic speed, less than that of sound, qualifying it to freely alters its angle of attack and the trajectory followed swiftly while preserving maneuverability, the main feature of the plane alongside with its conformal weapon storage and radar technology. The Russian Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute managed researches and favored its forward-swept wings, which is additionally the main reason behind its optimal anti-spin and lift properties...
